A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.
I didn’t know where that step would take me in 2016, when my husband and I moved from where we’d lived for thirty years and raised our three daughters to a state away where our oldest daughter was expecting our first grandchild. Our other two daughters had moved out of state as well and my husband’s parents had passed away. Although we enjoyed where we lived, we wanted to be closer to family.
Being one who likes to pretend she has some control over her life, I was fearful of the unknown, almost to the point of making myself sick. Throughout the process, God reminded me to trust Him. When I looked back, I was in awe as I recognized how he’d addressed all of my concerns in the transition.
I started to focus more on writing because of the move. Now, to my surprise and continued awe, here I am, writing my first blog for my first website that showcases my first published books. I now have three local grandchildren. Our oldest grandson was joined last year by twin siblings, a boy and a girl. The three of them have already found their way in some fashion into my stories.
God is good indeed.
Thank you for being curious enough about me to find my website and read this. Although I was anxious of the unknown, the move was one of the best decisions we’ve made. I’m so glad I took that first step. I don’t know where this writing journey will take me, but thanks again for being here and I hope you’ll join me on it.
